Longsands Fish Kitchen boasts both a Restaurant and Takeaway, located in the beautiful village of Tynemouth. You’ll find a menu of Cod and Haddock together with a large range of local fish like Hake, Monkfish, John Dory, Lobsters and Plaice which are often landed right here at our local fish quay.

Sous Chef

We are looking for a Sous Chef to work closely with our Head Chef who requires a hard-working and creative second-in-command.

As Sous Chef you will share our passion for great food and support our Head Chef with the running of the kitchen. You will be a role model for the kitchen team and support with the team’s development.

We are proud to have created not only a friendly but ambitious learning environment where we encourage creativity. You will learn to balance creative culinary skills with strong kitchen and team management skills.

You will benefit from the guidance of co-founder Simon Walsh, who has years of experience in some of the country’s best known kitchens.

This fast-paced kitchen is the perfect test ground for you to learn how to be creative and deliver consistent high standards in our 50 cover restaurant. You’ll work with high quality, fresh ingredients and seafood to deliver beautiful dishes.

We are looking for a Sous Chef with around 3 years experience or a Chef De Partie with 3-5 years experience. If you feel you are reaching the ceiling of your current role and have a committed, team-player mindset, this role is for you.
